USA Shipping Update – New Import Tariffs from August 2025

Update – 13 August 2025

USA Shipping & Import Tariff

From 28 August 2025, the US government will introduce a 10% import tariff on certain goods shipped from the UK, including jewellery.

What this means at checkout: The new Postal Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) system will add all import charges — including the 10% tariff — to the shipping cost you see at checkout. This removes unexpected customs bills before delivery.

While the new system is being finalised, US shipments may experience customs delays. If you prefer the smoothest experience, you may wish to wait until the new systems are is fully live (mid September).

Possible charges before Postal DDP is live:

  • Flat US Customs fee of $80
  • 10% import tariff (based on parcel value)
  • State sales tax (varies by location)
  • Possible customs processing or handling fees

We’re working closely with postal and courier partners to roll out Postal DDP as quickly as possible. This page will be updated as soon as timelines are confirmed.

Thank you to all my US customers — your support means a great deal. I’m working hard to keep ordering straightforward and fair.
