Sparkle Again: Gold-Plated Jewellery Service

Why Re-Plating May Be Needed
Gold plating is a surface finish, and gradual change over time is a natural part of ownership. This may be more noticeable on designs with moving elements or multiple charms, where gentle contact can affect the finish as the piece is worn and enjoyed.
At Ice Skating Jewellery, our aim is that your jewellery is worn, loved and enjoyed for years to come. Each gold-plated design is handcrafted to be cherished, but with regular wear the finish may gradually soften.
To help your jewellery continue to sparkle, we offer one complimentary gold re-plating service for all gold-plated pieces.
Our specialist plating workshop will refresh the entire piece, restoring its warmth and shine so it can continue to be worn and loved.
What the Service Includes
Your jewellery will be carefully cleaned and prepared before a fresh layer of gold is professionally applied. Each piece is then inspected to ensure it looks beautiful before being returned to you.
Arranging Your Complimentary Re-Plate
To make use of your complimentary gold refresh, please contact us first so we can guide you through the process.
You can get in touch by email. When contacting us, it is helpful to include:
- Original order number (if available)
- Your full name, or the name of the person who originally purchased the piece
- Address for return postage
- Details of the jewellery (design, size, charms or personalisation)
- A photo showing the current finish (optional but helpful)
Once we receive your details, we will confirm the arrangements, advise how to return your jewellery safely, and provide an estimated timescale for the refresh.

Considering Solid Gold
For customers who prefer a finish that will not change over time, many designs can also be recreated in solid gold. This offers exceptional longevity while keeping the meaningful style you love.
Solid gold is not always the most practical choice for every situation, but for pieces that mark important moments it provides a lasting option — jewellery that can be worn for a lifetime and treasured for generations.
